Lorenzo Reverberi will take you through the age-old journey of humankind to understand the universe, its history and its evolution, with a special emphasis on 20th-century achievements, starting with general relativity and going on to the Big Bang theory, cosmic inflation and the discoveries of dark matter, dark energy and gravitational waves. Finally, we'll dare to look ahead at the most fascinating open problems in cosmology and the new generation of telescopes and observatories, which will shape our cosmic exploration in the coming decades.
