Do you know everything about anime? Do you love to read mangas? Do you want to meet other people who also love everything geek? Come join us at the Manga Meet-Ups. Manga artists Dreamchaserart and Kimmicomics are coming to the library to give you drawing tips!

Please note: manga artist Art By Botje will join us in March at the Meet-Up. She is a professional manga artist who will tell you all about her job and give you the best advice. KimmiComics en Dreamchaserart will join us again in May.

During the night, you can:

• Draw
• Chat
• Meet others
• Give each other some drawing or reading tips
• Exchange books
• Read the manga's at the City Library

Manga Meet-Ups
The City Library Venlo and Filmtheater De Nieuwe Scene organize the meet-ups. Every odd month, there will be drawing sessions at the library. Do you want to learn more about drawing in manga style? Or meet others? Come join us!
Every even month, movie theatre De Nieuwe Scene shows a special anime film.

KimmiComics en Dreamchaserart
KimmiComics is a manga artist. She graduated from ArtEZ in 2015. You may know KimmiComics from her books "Oyasumi", "A cat's purrpose" and "Wild Geraas". You can find her on conventions, where she promotes and sells her work. She also leads the workshops "Maak je eigen mangastrip" in the City Library in Venlo! Dreamchaserart is a manga artist who mainly focuses on character design, concept art and illustrations. She loves to read, think of new ideas and concepts and loves to work with a lot of colors! MANGA MEET-UPS: TEKENAVOND EN BOEKENCLUB

Weet jij alles van anime? Verslind jij mangaboeken? Wil jij graag andere mangaliefhebbers ontmoeten? Kom dan naar de Manga Meet-Ups! Dreamchaserart en Kimmicomics komen speciaal voor jou langs om tips te geven over het tekenen in mangastijl!

Let op: in maart komt manga artiest Art By Botje speciaal voor jou langs om jou tekentips te geven! KimmiComics en Dreamchaserart zijn er in mei weer bij.

Daarnaast kan je tijdens deze avond:

• Tekenen
• Tips uitwisselen
• Boeken ruilen
• Manga’s van de bibliotheek lezen

Manga Meet-Ups
De Manga Meet-Ups worden samen georganiseerd door de Bibliotheek Venlo en Filmtheater De Nieuwe Scene. Elke oneven maand zijn er tekensessies voor alle mangakunstenaars in spe in de bibliotheek. Wil jij graag meer leren over manga tekenen? Of wil je het graag een keer uitproberen? Kom vooral langs! In de even maanden draait Filmtheater De Nieuwe Scene een speciale animefilm. Zo wisselen de activiteiten elkaar maandelijks af.

KimmiComics en Dreamchaserart
KimmiComics is een manga artiest. In 2015 studeerde ze af van ArtEZ. Je kan KimmiComics kennen van de boeken "Oyasumi", "A cat's purrpose" en "Wild Geraas". Ze bezoekt regelmatig convensies om haar kunstwerken te promoten en te verkopen. Daarnaast gaat ze in februari een workshopreeks “Maak je eigen mangastrip” geven in de bieb! Dreamchaserart is een manga artiest die zich vooral focust op character design, concept art en illustraties. Ze houdt enorm van nieuwe ideeen bedenken en houdt van werken met kleuren.
